Unique signed bank check, 8" x 3", March 1, 1948, drawn on Robinson's personal account and made payable to Elinor Pales for the sum of $160.00. Filled out entirely in Robinson's hand and signed, "Jackie Robinson," ("10") in black ink. In overall excellent condition, with bank stampings placed away from Robinson's choice signature. While signed checks of Robinson are desirable in any form, this particular check is of added rarity and desirability, given that it was penned within Robinson's first year of being in Major League Baseball (he started in April of 1947) and that he has signed "Jackie Robinson" as opposed to his "Jack R. Robinson," signature seen on most check examples. Nicely matted along with a trio of 8" x 10" photos of Robinson and housed in a black matte frame, measuring approximately 29.5"" x 15" overall. Accompanied by a Letters of Authenticity from James Spence Authentication (JSA).
