While there are many featured players on this ball, special attention must be paid to the presence the autograph of the Negro League's finest shortstop, Willie Wells. Penned along the side panel in black ink ("8"), this stands as the only Willie Wells authentically signed baseball to ever surface in the marketplace! Other choice signers on the baseball include: Satchel Paige, Judy Johnson, Leon Day, Buck Leonard, Jimmie Crutchfield, Chicho Renfro, Sammy T. Hughes, Hilton Smith, Buck O'Neil, Lloyd "Pepper" Bassett, Monte Irvin, Gene Benson, Dick Seay, Joe Black, Ray Dandridge, Quicy Trouppe, Connie Johnson, Chet Brewer, Andy Porter, New Allen and others. The ball itself stands in EX condition with light uniform toning and mounting impressions on two side panels intersecting Newt Allen and Dick Seay's signatures. Accompanied by Certificate of Authenticity from James Spence Authentication (JSA).
